1.REGISTRATION AND PARTICIPATION CONDITIONS

     1.SUITABILITY

Persons who register for Kayseri Half Marathon, individually or as a team, accept and declare the Terms of Participation by performing the registration process subject to this contract. In this context

1.1 Amateur and professional runners born on or before 21 September 2007, who have adequate health conditions, may participate in the 10.193m and Half Marathon. The organiser may request a medical report when deemed necessary.

1.2 The above age limit also applies to participants using a wheelchair who have been granted special permission by the Organiser to participate.

1.3 The organiser cannot be held responsible if participants are not allowed to participate in the International Kayseri Half Marathon due to national or local laws.

1.4 The event indicates the right of participation; the ticket and or registration may not be more than one per participating natural person.

1.5 The Organiser has the right to verify all identification details of the Participant. Entries containing incorrect data about the identity details will be deemed ineligible. In this case, the Organiser reserves the right to disqualify the Participant and not to admit him/her to the venue.

1.6 The Organiser reserves the right to limit the total number of participants, to change the registration and or ticket sales dates, cancellation and refund conditions. In such cases; participants can contact the organisers via www.kayseriyarimaratonu.com

1.7 Where Special Category races are available, the Organiser reserves the right to set a minimum and maximum number of participants, which will be announced in due time on www.kayseriyarimaratonu.com. The Organiser may exercise the option to cancel or postpone the International Kayseri Half Marathon in the event that the minimum number of participants is below the set minimum.

1.8 The International Kayseri Half Marathon will be run at the sole discretion of the Organiser. The Organiser's decision in relation to all matters connected with the event is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

2.REGISTRATION AND PARTICIPATION

2.1 To register for the International Kayseri Half Marathon and to access all information about the event, please contact www.kayseriyarimaratonu.com. The contact information on the Ticket/Registration document will be used to inform the participants about the necessary updates.

2.2 The following data will be published in the participant lists and results on www.kayseriyarimaratonu.com for a maximum period of 5 years: Name, surname, nationality, age group, club/company affiliation (if specified). The time and place of publication of the start lists and results of the events will be announced on www.kayseriyarimaratonu.com.

2.3 The right to participate in the International Kayseri Half Marathon is personal, race numbers and participation rights are not transferable.

2.4 You may withdraw from the event at any time prior to the International Kayseri Half Marathon. If you decide to withdraw from the event, even if you have force majeure, the fee will not be refunded and it will not be possible to transfer your right to enter the event to someone else.

3.REGISTRATION AND PAYMENT METHODS

3.1 Participation in the International Kayseri Half Marathon can be provided with the participation fee to be collected from www.kayseriyarimaratonu.com by using a credit or debit card. All taxes and fees are included in the payment. After the payment is made, the registration will be completed. Payments made by credit or debit card shall be binding, non-deferrable, non-exchangeable, non-transferable, non-refundable, subject to local written law. In the event that you are unable to participate in the International Kayseri Half Marathon due to the Organiser cancelling the event, changing the date, city, course or race distances or location for any reason or no reason, the participation fee will not be refunded for any reason. After successful payment, a contractual relationship based on these Terms of Participation is directly established between the Organiser and the Participant upon completion of registration. These Terms of Participation constitute the terms of the contract.

3.2 The Organiser reserves the right to adjust and change the participation fee locally for any reason during the Registration Period (from the date of the start of ticket sales for the relevant year to the date of the closing of sales).

3.3 The participant of the International Kayseri Half Marathon will not be reimbursed for travel and other expenses incurred for participation for any reason whatsoever. In connection with any changes or cancellations that the organiser may make, transportation or

accommodation costs, cancellation and change fees shall not be liable for any responsibility, and shall not be subject to complaint or lawsuit.

3.4 The sole consideration for the participation fee is a chest number, a timing chip and the right to participate in the International Kayseri Half Marathon.

3.5 The sole and final decision as to whether to award prizes to the race winner and other winners is the sole and final decision of the organiser. If it wishes to award prizes, it reserves the right to change, cancel and/or substitute any or all of the prizes with prizes of similar value. Cash alternatives will not be provided as prizes and prizes are non-transferable and non-refundable. The Organiser's decision in relation to all prizes in connection with the International Kayseri Half Marathon is final.

3.6 If the prize-winning entrant fails to collect the prize in accordance with the Organiser's instructions and within the period specified by the Organiser at the time of notification (the first 15 days after the end of the race), the prize will be forfeited and the Organiser reserves the right to appoint an alternative winner.

3.7. Foreign participants who participate in the International Kayseri Half Marathon and are eligible for awards will only be eligible for the "Half Marathon General Class" awards.  

4.ORGANISER'S RIGHT TO CHANGE THE CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION AND DISQUALIFICATION

4.1 The Organiser reserves the right to change the Conditions of Participation at any time and such changes will be published on www.kayseriyarimaratonu.com.

4.2 If, for any reason other than its own, the Organiser considers that it is dangerous or inconvenient to run the International Kayseri Half Marathon, the Organiser reserves the right, without liability or responsibility, to cancel or change the International Kayseri Half Marathon, to unilaterally terminate the contract, to change the details of the International Kayseri Half Marathon such as the date, start time, course and distance and/or to change the facilities offered in connection with the International Kayseri Half Marathon, taking into account applicable laws and regulations. In the event of terrorism, civil unrest, general mourning or serious risks of terrorism, the organiser may cancel the race or change the date or route.

4.3 During the International Kayseri Half Marathon, the Organiser may, at its sole discretion, charge the Participant for failure to comply with these Terms of Participation or, where applicable; His/her behaviour at the International Kayseri Half Marathon prior to the event or during activities related to the International Kayseri Half Marathon is disruptive at any point, is likely to cause damage or harm to a person, property or the reputation of the Organiser, posts incriminating, offensive or terrorism-related posts on social media, provides false information on entry forms, engages in ungentlemanly behaviour, disqualification and expulsion for any other type of unlawful or improper behaviour, including, but not limited to, competing with an unofficial chest number or race tag, competing with a chest number or race tag assigned to another person or for another event, passing an official chest number or race tag to another person, attempting to obtain such number or tag from another person, having a person who is not registered for the International Kayseri Half Marathon as a bunny runner during the race, and for health and safety reasons; disqualification or expulsion for any other type of illegal or inappropriate behaviour. If a winning Entrant is disqualified, his/her right to the prize will be forfeited and/or the prize will be donated or awarded to an alternative winner. No refunds will be made to Participants disqualified for any reason. Individuals disqualified from the International Kayseri Half Marathon will be removed from the official results.

 4.4 The Participant acknowledges and agrees that the Organiser may, at its sole discretion, postpone or cancel the Race if it decides that conditions on the day of the Race are unsafe. The Organiser agrees that the Event may be postponed or cancelled in the event of natural disasters (including but not limited to wind, heavy rain, rain, hail, hail, storm, cyclone, earthquake), acts of terrorism, state of emergency, fire, threat of strike or strike situation, labour shortages, work stoppage, riot, war, civil commotion, flood, In the event of postponement or cancellation due to unavoidable loss of life, race route conditions or any other cause beyond the Organiser's control or at the request of the local authorities, the Organiser agrees that the Organiser will not refund the participation fee and other costs associated with the Event.

4.4 During the International Kayseri Half Marathon, the Promoter may, at its sole discretion, invite the Participant to participate in the International Kayseri Half Marathon for non-compliance with these Terms of Participation or, where applicable, for behaviour at the International Kayseri Half Marathon prior to the event or at activities related to the International Kayseri Half Marathon that is, at any point, disruptive, likely to cause harm or damage to a person, property or the reputation of the Promoter, or that is posted on social media.

4.5 The Participant acknowledges and agrees that the Organiser may, at its sole discretion, postpone or cancel the race if it decides that conditions on race day are unsafe. 5. GRANTING OF RIGHTS

5.1 The Organiser or any third party it may authorise shall have the right to capture and use audio recordings, video recordings and photographs from the International Kayseri Half Marathon and to use your name, image, voice, performance and biographical material for any purpose (whether commercial, marketing, promotional, news or otherwise) in all media, in perpetuity, in accordance with local written law.

5.2 The Organiser shall have the right to use, broadcast, display, show, reproduce and/or make available to the public all audiovisual material relating to the International Kayseri Half Marathon on radio, television, cinemas, events, data carriers or any other media and worldwide. The Organiser shall have the right to make modifications, breaks, cuts or other changes to the audiovisual material and to use such modified audiovisual material without restriction. The Organiser is permitted to assign the rights granted to any third party. You acknowledge that you may not be named as a Participant in the International Kayseri Half Marathon and you do not expect to receive any financial benefit from your appearance in any media associated with the International Kayseri Half Marathon. By accepting the current Terms of Participation, you grant the Organiser the right to use this audio-visual material on the terms detailed above. The sole consideration for this blanket assignment of rights is the chance to participate in and win the Kayseri Half Marathon.

5.3 You agree that the Organiser (including its affiliates and partners) is permitted to use your registration data for promotional, commercial and/or marketing purposes in connection with the International Kayseri Half Marathon, subject to limitations in accordance with local written law.

6. COLLECTION AND PROTECTION OF PERSONAL DATA

6.1 The definition of "Personal Data" in this section describes all data held in connection with your name. We hereby confirm that the Personal Data you have provided in connection with the International Kayseri Half Marathon is accurate and up to date

you approve it.

6.2 Due to the Organiser's global operations, it may transfer your personal data to countries other than your country of residence in accordance with all relevant data protection regulations. Personal Data will only be used for purposes connected with the International Kayseri Half Marathon for as long as necessary. This period includes a period of 5 years after the completion of the International Kayseri Half Marathon in order to distribute prizes or to fulfil tax-related or other legal investigations.

6.3 Winning and/or ranking participants will be asked to take part in reasonable promotional activities associated with the Kayseri Half Marathon. In the event that they win and/or place, the participants' name, surname, nationality, age group, club/company affiliation data may be stored indefinitely and may be shared with the public for promotional and other purposes.

6.4 The Organiser and its contractors may contact participants by e-mail, telephone or other means in connection with the International Kayseri Half Marathon or other commercial and non-commercial activities. The Participant has the right at any time to request that such Personal Data be amended, anonymised and/or deleted in whole or in part. In such a case, the Organiser will ensure that such data is deleted, amended and/or anonymised as soon as reasonably practicable.

7.FINAL PROVISIONS

7.1 Delayed participation requests will not be accepted after the start of the race. In case of loss of the chip, running chest number, participation in the event becomes impossible, in such a case, the organiser does not accept responsibility for the unrealised participation and the participation fee will not be refunded.

7.2 If the Participant is disqualified for any reason and by any official, the Organiser is under no obligation to publish this fact.

7.3 The Participant decides to participate in the International Kayseri Half Marathon at his/her sole responsibility by determining his/her physical condition. The Organiser is not responsible for any medical/health problems of the Participant.

7.4 All choices regarding race categories are the responsibility of the participant and are not binding on the Organiser. If a participant injures himself/herself while performing actions related to the International Kayseri Half Marathon, the Organiser

is not responsible. The Organiser may refer the participant to a health institution if deemed necessary. All costs that may be incurred in relation to the medical care that may be applied to the participant in the health institution are outside the responsibility of the Organiser and shall be borne by the participant.

7.5 During the Registration Period, the Organiser reserves the right to add new race courses, to make changes to existing courses and to announce new information about the courses. Any information provided by the Organiser in relation to the courses is for information purposes only and has no binding effect on the Organiser.

7.6 Compliance with the instructions of the Organiser and members of the Race Staff is mandatory. In case of non-compliance that disturbs the smooth running of the International Kayseri Half Marathon or endangers the safety of the Participants, the Organiser is entitled to ban and/or disqualify the person concerned from the International Kayseri Half Marathon at any time. Medical personnel have the right to make decisions regarding the participants. You and all reasons related to you and your participation will in no way be accepted as the responsibility of the organiser. You confirm that the Organiser, the Race Staff or the cooperation partners will not assume any liability whatsoever if you are injured. In case of any damage caused by you; all legal rights of the Organiser shall be reserved.

7.7 The Organiser may create distance variations in relation to the race, change the distances of the race and, as such, the venue, the relevant federation in which the race is represented. The Participant agrees that, for his/her own and everyone else's sake, the Organiser

agrees to abide by the safety rules. The Organiser or its Race Personnel may refuse the participation of the relevant person at any time. The Organiser shall not be held responsible for any failure or delay in fulfilling its obligations under the Conditions of Participation for any reason other than its own. The Organiser may, at its sole discretion, provide parking, storage, clothing changing and/or cleaning facilities at the International Kayseri Half Marathon venue. However, the use of these facilities is the sole responsibility of the Participant and the Organiser will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from the use of these facilities.

7.8 All official procedures relating to the International Kayseri Half Marathon shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the city in which it is held.

7.9 Additional fees such as additional licence fees and/or Athlete Insurance Fees that may be charged by all official institutions related to the International Kayseri Half Marathon are not included in the registration fee paid or to be paid. Fees to be demanded by the Federation and/or relevant official institutions shall be paid additionally. They are not under the responsibility of the organiser and are borne by the participant.

7.10 Acceptance of these terms and conditions and completion of the registration process is not sufficient in itself to obtain the right to participate in the International Kayseri Half Marathon. With the acceptance of these terms and conditions, the participant must personally come to the International Kayseri Half Marathon registration area on the dates announced by the organiser, receive the participation kit and read and sign the Organisation Registration, Liability, Risk and Indemnity Waiver Agreement.

9. CHANGE OF REGISTRATION

 "Category Change" cannot be done.

 10. CANCELLATION OF REGISTRATION

 In case of non-participation in the marathon for any reason, the registration fee is non-refundable and the registration cannot be transferred to someone else and the name cannot be changed.

11.AGE LIMIT

Male and female runners born on or before 21 September 2007, with adequate health conditions, can participate in the 10.193m Run and Half Marathon.

12.LIABILITY AND INSURANCE

Responsibility for participation in the marathon belongs to the participants. Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality, which organises the marathon, is exempt from any liability. This includes accidents, stolen clothing or other equipment. A medical check-up in the sports field is highly recommended. Participants are deemed to have declared that they do not have any health impairments when they start the race.

13.DISCREDITING

During the International Kayseri Half Marathon, the Organiser may, at its sole discretion, charge a participant for failing to comply with these conditions of participation or, where applicable;his/her behaviour prior to the event or during marathon-related activities is disruptive at any point, is likely to cause damage or harm to a person, property or the reputation of the Organiser, posts incriminating, offensive or terrorism-related posts on social media, provides false information on entry forms, behaves in an ungentlemanly manner, disqualification or expulsion for any other type of illegal or inappropriate behaviour, including, but not limited to, competing with an unofficial chest number or race tag, competing with a chest number or race tag assigned to another person or for another event, passing an official chest number or race tag to another person, attempting to obtain such number or tag from another person, having a person who is not registered for the marathon rabbit run during the race, and for health and safety reasons; disqualification or expulsion for any other type of illegal or improper behaviour. In the event that a winning Participant is disqualified, his/her right to the prize will be forfeited and/or the prize will be donated or awarded to an alternative winner. No refunds will be made to Participants disqualified for any reason. Individuals disqualified from the marathon will be removed from the official results.

14.RACE RULES

International Kayseri Half Marathon will take place within the framework of "IAAF" rules. The race and route control will be carried out by the Turkish Athletics Federation (TAF); official referees and the classification team at the route/finish point. Participants must present their ID and sign the waiver in order to receive their race kits. Each participant must pick up his/her own kit personally. No one other than the participant can receive a kit that does not belong to him/her.

The distribution of the chest number, measurement chip and bag will take place before the race, on Friday and Saturday. The chest number cannot be transferred to another person. Changing the official race (chest) number is grounds for disqualification. There will be no chest number or chip distribution/delivery on the morning of the race. Breast number control will be carried out by the official referees on the route and at the finish point. On 19-20.2025 between 09.00 - 20.00 at the designated kit distribution point between 09.00 - 20.00, participants will be given a chest number and a measuring chip with the same number as the bag. The measuring chip must be tied to the shoelaces. The degree of the competitor without a measuring chip cannot be measured.

Route Services

Starting from the 3rd km on the route, there are points of need approximately every 2.5 km. Medical service is provided on the running route. There will be water and entertainment points at the designated points on the route on all tracks.

The closing time of the finish line for all races is 12.15 After 10.15am traffic will be opened, runners still on the course may continue to run on the pavement but will not be sorted.

End Point Services

There are food packages, toilets, dressing cabins, medical service tents. Award ceremony will be held according to the results of the classification.

Net time will be measured with measurement chips. In the race, the measuring chip that will be distributed to the participants at the registration area at the kit delivery will be valid. The Measurement Chip must be used as specified during the kit distribution, otherwise the classification will not be possible. In order for a valid sorting to take place, runners must pass over the carpets at the start point, at the turning points and at the finish point. Further information will be given at the chip distribution area. Chest numbers must not be crumpled or folded and must be pinned at chest level with safety pins at the designated points.

Breast numbers cannot be exchanged or transferred to another runner.

The results will be announced live on www.kayseriyarimaratonu.com on Sunday 22.09.2024.

The organiser is not responsible for lost items.

22.SPECIAL DRINKS

Participants' own special drinks will not be accepted.

23.HEALTH SERVICES

Health services will be available along the entire route and at the end point.

Health Related Recommendations

Be examined before the race. People with respiratory and heart diseases should not participate in the marathon.

You should go to the race well rested and sleepy. Have breakfast early on the morning of the race and avoid alcoholic and fizzy drinks. Always wear your trainers with socks. The cream you apply on your toes will prevent wounds that may occur after the race. In case of health problems that occur during the race, leave the race and ask for help from the paramedics. Adequate training, fitness and health are essential for a successful race. The responsibility in this regard lies with the participants.
